1. Privacy Policy
Mobile Eye is an AR wall and text capture app. You can detect a wall (vertical plane), place text in AR,
and optionally sync those saved “walls” to your account on our backend.
1.1 Data we collect
- Camera / AR data: required to detect planes and render AR content (ARKit).
- Location (approximate or precise): used to associate a saved wall with a geographic key and enable map placement and nearby retrieval.
- User-generated content: the text you place on walls.
- Account/auth data: if you sign in, we store your session token to authenticate API requests.
- Diagnostics (optional): basic logs for troubleshooting (for example, request failures or save events).
1.2 How we use data
- Provide core AR features: detect walls, place text, and render saved content.
- Save your walls locally on device and (if signed in) sync them to the backend.
- Show saved locations on a map and filter/search previously saved text.
- Protect the service: prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and maintain reliability.
1.3 Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data only when necessary to operate the service,
such as hosting providers or analytics/monitoring tools (if enabled). We may disclose data if required by law.
1.4 Data retention
- On-device: saved walls may be stored locally until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- Backend: if you sync, we retain your saved walls for your account until you delete them or request account deletion.
1.5 Your controls
- You can deny permissions (Camera/Location). Some features may not work without them.
- You can delete local saved walls via the app’s “Clear” action.
- You can request deletion of backend data by contacting us (see Contact).
1.6 Children’s privacy
Mobile Eye is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data,
contact us to remove it.
1.7 Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
2. Terms of Use
By using Mobile Eye, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2.1 License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for lawful purposes.
2.2 Acceptable use
- No illegal, harmful, or abusive content.
- No attempts to break, probe, overload, or reverse engineer the service.
- No uploading content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
2.3 User content
You own the text you create. You grant us a limited license to store and display your content
only to provide the service (local rendering and optional backend sync).
2.4 Service availability
The app and backend are provided “as is” and may be updated, changed, interrupted, or discontinued.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
2.5 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential,
or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
2.6 Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these terms or misused the service.
3. App Store Compliance Notes
- Camera permission: required for AR features.
- Location permission: used for saving walls by area and map features.
- Account: optional; if you sign in, data can sync to backend.
- Content moderation: user text is stored for your use; abusive use may lead to account restrictions.
